🌍 The World of Sarvanna An ancient land, once permeated by arcane power—a realm of rulers, mages, and knights. Sarvanna was the birthplace of Soulbinding—the act of sealing a living soul within a card.

What is Soulbound Ærkana®?
Soulbound Ærkana® is a dueling card game set in a standalone sci-fantasy world that combines duel-based gameplay with narrative elements. Every card has meaning, every decision carries weight—you aren't just playing; you are shaping a world.
How does the game work?
Two players face off against one another. It is also possible to play in a four-player free-for-all; a 2v2 Tag Duel mode will be added later. Using a deck consisting of Creatures, Seals, Arcana, and special Bond Cards, players attempt to reduce their opponent's Bond Points to zero. The game features a modular design, incorporating unique mechanics such as summoning, casting Arcana, sealing the opponent, fusing Creatures, or summoning them via Crystal Overlay.

Will there be tournaments?
Yes! A structured tournament system—featuring formats for beginners, advanced players, and story-driven events—is already in the works. The goal is to create a vibrant community experience complete with regional qualifiers and tournaments.
Can I design my own cards?
Not yet—but there will be a Creator Zone where you can submit lore suggestions and upload your own designs for fan cards. Perhaps your design will even officially become part of the world…
Where can I get cards?
You can order cards through the shop on our website, and soon you will also be able to purchase them at X-Comics in Saarbrücken. Demo and Organized Play events will also take place there. Additionally, demo sets are available to try out at Brett und Bohne Spielecafé in Homburg, Würfelheld Games in Homburg, and Trading Card Cave in Dillingen.
Is there a backstory?
Yes—and it grows with every chapter! The lore of Soulbound Ærkana® is told through an accompanying book series. Readers experience the world through the eyes of Kral, Elradia, Jo, and many others.
Is Soulbound Ærkana® more like Yu-Gi-Oh! or Magic: The Gathering?
It stands on its own—but if you are familiar with both, you will recognize certain parallels: Inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh! are the fast-paced duels, special summoning mechanics, and distinct card types. From Magic come the rich lore, the resource-based strategic thinking, and the overall atmosphere. However, Soulbound Ærkana® takes things a step further—featuring card-linking systems, a dynamic central battlefield flow, and a strong focus on storytelling within the gameplay itself.

How many cards are there so far?
The first season, "Rise of the Dragon Emperor," will launch with approximately 224 cards, divided into fixed, balanced starter decks. This number grows steadily alongside the community and the lore.
